There is a brief onboarding process before anyone can access Whimble’s platform to place requests. Please visit this page to get started: https://www.whimble.ca/beta-registration/use.
Once you have completed the onboarding process, you will get access to our private storefront, and then any requests for assistance are pushed out to our pool of caregivers on a first-come-first-serve basis.

We do not provide medical or emergency assistance - if you are facing a life threatening emergency (or otherwise dangerous situation), please call 911.

We do recommend that if you are a regular or occasional user of attendant services, you get onboard when you DON’T need us, so that we can respond quickly if/when you DO.
-
We are currently unable to predict/guarantee waiting times, but our goal is to address everyone’s needs ASAP.
Once you have submitted a request, one of our customer service agents will be in touch to confirm the request details and let you know we are working on finding someone to pick up your shift.
You will receive periodic updates about the status of your request, and are always welcome to contact us should you need an update urgently.

We totally understand that plans can change! However, in order to be fair to both clients and attendants, our cancellation policy for one-on-one services is as follows:
with more than 24 hours’ notice, no charge.
if anywhere between 6 and 24 hours’ notice provided, we will retain 50% of the booked service fee.
If less than 6 hours’ notice provided for a cancelled booking, we will retain 100% of the booked service fee.

Before onboarding, every attendant candidate is required to:
submit a vulnerable sector check via local police services,
provide a minimum of 2 references who can speak to their relevant work experience,
undergo a live interview process to review their skills and qualifications,
provide proof of liability insurance as a home care provider.
-
Before new clients are able to start using our platform to request assistance, we:
request more information on their care via an online intake form; and,
conduct a home visit to verify the location, confirm necessary equipment is in good working order, review their needs, etc.
-
In order to be able to determine if we can meet your needs, please fill out this intake form to get the onboarding process started.
