FAQs

  • We are currently running a beta trial in central Ottawa, Canada, with service hours between 7 am and 11 pm, Monday to Friday.

If you are outside of our existing service area, please join our waitlist so we know where to launch next!

(And we hope to expand our service hours as soon as our supply of available caregivers increases!)

  • We do not provide medical or emergency assistance - if you are facing a life threatening emergency (or otherwise dangerous situation), please call 911.

  • We are currently unable to predict/guarantee waiting times, but our goal is to address everyone’s needs ASAP.

Once you have submitted a request, one of our customer service agents will be in touch within 30 minutes to confirm the request details and let you know we are working on finding someone to pick up your shift.

You will receive periodic updates about the status of your request, and are always welcome to contact us should you need an update urgently.

As soon as we have found someone to cover your shift, you will receive their attendant profile and confirmation of the date, time and location of the shift.

  • We totally understand that plans can change! In order to be fair to both clients and attendants, our cancellation policy for one-on-one services is as follows:

    • with more than 24 hours’ notice, no charge.

    • if anywhere between 6 and 24 hours’ notice provided, we will retain 50% of the booked service fee.

    • If less than 6 hours’ notice provided for a cancelled booking, we will retain 100% of the booked service fee.

  • Before onboarding, every attendant candidate is required to:

    1. submit a vulnerable sector check via local police services,

    2. provide a minimum of 2 references who can speak to their relevant work experience,

    3. undergo a live interview process to review their skills and qualifications.

  • Before new clients are able to start using our beta service to request assistance, we:

    1. set up a virtual interview to learn more about their needs and routines; and,

    2. conduct a home visit to verify access procedures to the home, confirm necessary equipment is in good working order, etc.

  • Our beta service is priced at $35/hour (with a 1 hour minimum).

We accept payment upon completion of services via credit card using the Shopify Payments platform.

  • For our beta service, we are offering qualified attendants $30/hour on an independent contractor basis.

Attendants are paid on a weekly basis upon receipt of their invoice and total hours.

  • We have tried to simplify our offerings as much as possible for the beta service. If something you need isn’t listed, please drop us a note via the Contact Us page so we can try to better address everyone’s needs in the future.

  • Yes! We’ve had numerous clients use their Passport funding to offset the cost of our services.
